Hambo Hoedown - A True Rebel

It's time for the Hambo Hoedown.  This week I received the Rebel digi image and instructions that we had to use stitching.  So far all of my stitching has been by hand.  My husband bought me the craft Pixie sewing machine last Christmas and I haven't taken it out of the box yet.  I'm a bit intimidated by it since I do not know how to use a sewing machine.  This is a personal challenge I need to tackle.  So I got out my needle and thread and hand stitched the rebel flag which is paper pieced.

Thanks for taking the time and checking out my blog.

Kraftin' Kimmie Sketch Challenge

I look forward every month to the new releases of Kraftin' Kimmie stamps, to see what the amazingly talented designers have come up with.  Below is a card I did to enter in the Kraftin' Kimmie Sketch challenge this week.  This dapper fellow is Chester and can be found at KraftinKimmiestamps.com.  You can just see the attitude in these designs.  It's hard to choose a favorite.  Check them out.

Hambo Hoedown Challenge

I've joined the Hambo Hoedown Challenge.  This week the challenge was to create a monochromatic card using a color you don't normal use. I chose Yellow as this is NOT one of the colors I go to.  I like more of the earthtone colors.  I hope you enjoy my card.

The hardest part of the challenge was not choosing a color, it was choosing an image as Hambo has sooo many great images to choose from. Check out their site at Hambostamps.com.

Where does the time go?

A daughter of a good friend of mine just graduated from high school and I made this card for her graduation. It seems like just yesterday my friend was telling me she was pregnant, where did those 18 years go? The flagstone background stamp is from Blockhead stamps and the butterfly is from Penny Black.
