Sing your Art Out

Hi and Welcome to "Sing Your Art Out" sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo friends, customers and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict song titles! It could be a favorite song or just a song that was fun to design using Hambo stamps.  If you arrived at my blog from Karin's you are in the right place.  If not, then you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo Blog to make sure you are eligible for the blog hopper prize. A prize will be awarded to one participant whose song-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits' fancy in a singin' wingin' way!  Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on ALL of the blogs along the way.  Winners will be announced on the Hoedown Blog and the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Wednesday, September 21.

Let's step back in time to sing one of my favorite songs growing up....
"How much is that Doggy in the Window?" released in 1953 by Patti Page.  You may not know all the verses but I'm sure you remember the most famous verse.  If not, I've listed it below, so sing along as you check out my entry in the "Sing your Art Out" Blog Hop sponsored by Hambo Stamps.

How much is that doggie in the window (arf, arf)
The one with the waggley tail
How much is that doggie in the window (arf, arf)
I do hope that doggie's for sale

I just love the digital stamps because they are so versatile and you can shrink or enlarge them to fit your project.  I used the Storefront digi and the Wee Doggie digi for my card front and colored them using my Copics Markers.  The Hambo Pet Shop title was computer generated and the little birds are also a Hambo Stamp but has been retired. I cut out the store front window and replaced it with clear acetate.  I drew the window background and then put the doggie behind the acetate.  I used pop up dots to make the window and doggie three-dimensional (not sure you can really see this in the picture).

Now, in order to get this song out of your head it's time to hop over to Dawn's blog to see what great song and creation she has in store for you.  Enjoy the hop and the Sing-along.

  9. What a wonderful doggie scene! I have been singing that song to my boys when they are really little. I only know two verses, so maybe I'll have to go look up the rest of them! :)

  10. You are SO clever to combine these images! Absolutely PERFECT song depiction. Like others have said, I haven't thought of that song in a while, which is amazing considering that my kids ask on a daily basis if they can have a dog. (I'm going to cave one of these days!) And what a nice surprise to see our retired birds on the sign. GREAT job Debbie -- thanks for being a part of our hop! :)
