Sassy Cheryl's - Show Me #47

I saw this cute card with a little girl named Sally on one of the blogs I follow.  So I checked out who Sally belonged to and found this great site SassyCheryl'sdigis and many other great digis.  I checked out her Sassy Challenges blog and the challenge is to Show what crafty thing you're working on and it doesn't have to be a card or paper project.

My favorite thing is making cards, I love to color and cut but I also enjoy painting things.  So here's what I'm working on.   I just finished this little guy "Frankenstein",  hopefully you recognize him.

His boots, hands, nose and bolts are cut from wood, painted and then glued to his body.  The chain around his neck is just what it looks like, a piece of chain.  Everything else is hand painted.  I'm also working on a Turkey, just getting him started.  I have the base coat of  "woodland brown" painted on his body (Euro Paver brick).

Below is the pattern and what the turkey will look like when finished.  I purchased these patterns from http://www.thewinfieldcollection.com/, just look under Patio Paver Pals. They also have all kinds of  great wood patterns.

I hope you enjoyed what I'm working on.

  1. Wow. . . .I know my next trip to Home Depot or Lowe's lawn and garden department will have me looking at things differently from now on. Who would've thought. . . .SO CREATIVE! I love little Frankie! I hope you'll show the turkey when you're done with him too. Would love to see him!
Glad you liked Sally! She's really fun to create.
Thanks for playing along in the SMThursday fun over at Sassy Cheryl's this week.
